Information on our trains and ticket types Our services are usually worked by two trains, the USA stars run the faster services and the SLD stock run the slower stopping services. Each train has first and standard class avaiable. |

SUS (SpeedLink USA STAR) The USA Star is equiped with first and standard class seating with comfortable leg room through-out. Toilets and Luggage space are avaiable in each coach and the cafe is situated between first and standard class. Pullman class is also avaiable on this train but only on the and from Washington and the and from Atlantic City. Designated areas for smoking have been set aside in coach A in standard class and coach H in first. Disabled acess is avaibale in coach G in first and B in standard. Unit 3 is seen here heading towards Aberdeen. |
SD (SpeedLink DoubleDeck) The SLD is formed of four coaches each been double deck with seating on both the lower and upper decks. There is a trolly service avaiable throughout the train with disabled access on the lower decks only and first class is situated in the middle. Toilets and luggage space is avaiable throughout with smoking only avaiable in specified sections of standard class. Unit 7 is seen here on the last leg of its journey between Wilmington and Philadelphia. |

SE (SpeedLink Express Sprinter) A unit that is more commonly seen on the school run the SE was brought second hand and then refurbished by SpeedLink giving it a modern interiour. Smoking is avaiable in coach B with no smoking in first class. There is a trolly service and luggage space throughout the train with first class situated at the very front and the very back of each unit. A cafe is avaiable in coach C. Wheel chair seating is avaible coaches A and F in first and D and E in standard. Unit 1 is seen here on the approach to BWI Airport station on the school run. |
SS (SpeedLink Sprinter) A train that is rarely seen on SpeedLinks network the SS is used on the early morning school train. The SS is rarely used becasuse the standard does not live up to SpeedLinks expectations and is only used when desperatly required to cover other units work. There is not first class or buffet, smoking is situated in coach A. Unit 4 waits at Baltimore with the hourly s ervice to Washington. This service has since been cut due to low passenger staisfaction with the units and increased track acess charges. |

Pullman Pullman tickets are only avaiable on the and from Washington or Philadelphia and the from Baltimore. You must book your ticket at least 24hours in advance by ringing our call center, visiting any major SpeedLink station or online. Your ticket will include first class seating on board a SUS with table service serving Breakfast in the morning and a 3 course meal in the evening. Drinks are provided free of charge, so with a Pullman ticket theres no need to even leave your seat. |
First First class ticket holders get a first class seat in any of our trains, a first class ticket can get you a free seat reservation, so if you are booking in advance we advise you reserve a seat. Reserving seats must be done 6hours before the trains departure. Once aboard you will get more than enough leg room with big comfy adjustable seats so you can work or rest during the journey. Power Points are supplied for your confenience so feel free to power your laptop or mobile phone. Overhead lighting will give sufficent light to work, or if your relaxing and watching the scenery go by you can turn it off. You will also be pampered by our staff who will be happy to serve you a range of complanty drinks including wine and snacks such as freshly prepared sandwiches. SUS first class is shown to the right. |

Standard Standard class is avaiable on all SpeedLink services and has well lit bright and airy coaches giving it a open feel. Each seat has a view out the window so you can sit and relax as you watch the contryside go by. You can also make a free seat reservation if you book in advance, we advise reserving seat for you own convenience. Reservations must be made 6hours before departure. The seats are comfortable with a comfortable amount of leg room, luggage space is avaiabe over head and at the ends of each coach. Electric interior doors have been fitted to keep coach sound down to a minimum. SUS standard class is show to the left. A trolly will make its way through the train selling a range of snacks and drinks. |
